Experiencing history and culture in Weimar, this hotel should be your first stop. We stayed, we enjoyed it, we wanted to recommend it highly to those who plan to visit Weimar. Perfect location: when you walk towards the hotel, when you open the window of your room, a great part of the history and art is in front of you. The service, from check in, room service, and dinning service are all top tier. Comparing what you would enjoy in this hotel, the price is pretty low or at least very reasonable.
What the hotel needs to improve is adding a door to the postmodern shower. It spills.

Gorgeous hotel, amazing art
This is a historic hotel in Weimar. Weimar is a beautiful town- quaint, immaculate, and steeped in art history- visual, music and literature. Elephant hotel distils this with a luxury experience. The rooms are beautifully equipped and there is art everywhere you look. Sculptures adorn the landings and passageways. Breakfast is served in an elegant dining space or outside in the garden ( where we also had a wonderful dinner) . It was the best breakfast of our whole Europe trip this year. I was even offered a pot of tea. The staff are elegant and friendly, and a wealth of knowledge about local attractions. I think this hotel offers terrific value for money too, since the experience is of extreme luxury and indulgence.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location for those wanting to see the tourist attractions, enjoy the nightlife or wake up early for a run in the park! Very stylisch and clean. Loved the toiletries from White Company mmmm and the back garden w a little pond, fountain and bronze sculptures is a gem! Only reason we are not giving 5 stars is that they would not allow us to make a reservation for a table for breakfast for us two + 2 friends who were joining us the next morning for birthday brunch celebration.

The double room is about the size of a Motel One. We had a do not disturb sign on and left around 10.30h, coming back in the evening the room was not made. Service is really lacking and not living up to normal standards.
The rooms to the backyard feature a rather uninspiring and boring view.

Check in was the worst that I have experienced in a long time. The staff simply doesnt care and fairly rude. Never even got a welcome to the hotel. My view is a view of the parking lot, other views...
