Good central location with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The hotel itself is consistent with what yiu would expect from th3 brand - clean and modern if a bit lacking in local charm. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is a real disappointment. Physical structure rooms etc are OK. Staff try to be helpful. IWe love Marriott AC hotels. This one diminishes the brand. If not for the fabulous breakfast, this place would barely get one star. There are other nearby Marriott options that have to be better if you want to stay with the brand. No airport shuttle service as advertised, instead they use cabs. This maybe ok as other hotels charge for this service, then again they advertise shuttle and instead schedule cabs which tend to be less reliable, and when your traveling abroad…. We booked a local private tour through the hotel, horrible. They obviously do no vetting. We’ve had mediocre tours before, but this was beyond the pale. The tour guide actually lied about what was and not open when we made requests. This was a private tour for two. We should expect better recommended services. Thanks The AC’s resturant, which they advertise as an asset, had a very loud DJ that made the resturant a very unpleasant experience. He only played what sounded like Spanish rap or techno music, all at a very high volume. This was more like a loud bar. It was even Hard to communicate with servers and hard to eat. There were NO quiet spaces in the resturant where you could carry on a conversation and enjoy a meal. Maybe a nice bar scene, but not someplace for a meal when you are traveling, or had a long day. It was so loud there was nowhere in the lobby or any public spaces where you were not blasted with very annoying music. All would be ok if they had warned that the resturant was going to be a loud bar that evening. Not a place for travelers seeking to relax. Thanks Everywhere else we went in Costa Rica bars and restaurants featured Costa Rican rums beers etc, not here. One local craft beer, when there are plenty to be had, and NO high end Costa Rican rums, disgraceful. The menus seemed fine, but hard to tell if the food is decent when you are engulfed by loud music.

Awesome Hotel ... Awesome Location ... next time in Costa Rica will stay here again ... We only Stayed one night with our Flight Landing in San Jose and needed a night before traveling to other parts of Costa Rica ... A lot of Food and Stores in Walking Distance ... actually right outside of the Hotel ... Great Hotel ...

O lugar ideal se você quiser esperar HORAS pela comida. Eu sou um cliente frequente do AC mas hoje nada mais foi ruim. Esperamos quase 2 horas pela nossa comida e não nos disseram mais do que “estamos atrasados” quando já havíamos esperado 45 minutos. Até as bebidas demoraram muito. Tivemos que pedir água a 4 garçons diferentes e nenhum deles trouxe. Quando expressamos nosso aborrecimento com Alex, o gerente, tudo o que ele nos disse foi “eles não esperaram tanto”. Dificilmente pretendo voltar, especialmente por causa da péssima resposta do gerente…

Lovely location in Escazu. Lots available in the area such as shopping and restaurants. Very safe area that is well guarded.Hotel is very nice and clean. Staff and friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is nice with a plentiful selection for $20 USD. The rooms are modern and have usb outlets for phones etc. The TV would not support my fire stick.Hotel is great for proximity to airport as it is only about 30 minutes away with some traffic.Special thanks 🙏🏻 to Irene at the hotel for all the assistance throughout our stay here. I am blown away by the amazing service and accommodating staff at this Marriott. I have stayed at hundreds if not thousands of Marriott hotels worldwide. This place hands down has the most amazing staff that is not only super friendly. But the most accommodating staff I’ve ever seen at any hotel. They really go the extra mile to make you feel at home and accommodate every need. When In San Jose I won’t stay anywhere else but here from now on. Hats off to the entire staff here. El lugar ideal si quieren esperar HORAS por la comida. Soy cliente frecuente del AC pero hoy nada más estuvo pésimo. Esperamos casi 2 horas por la comida y no nos dijeron más que un “estamos retrasados” cuando ya habíamos esperado 45 minutos. Hasta las bebidas se demoraron un montón. Tuvimos que pedir agua a 4 saloneros distintos y ninguno la trajo. Cuando expresamos nuestra molestia con Alex el gerente lo único que nos dijo fue “no esperaron tanto”. Difícilmente pienso volver en especial por la pésima respuesta por parte del gerente…

It is people like Irene that make the world go round.. her customer service was impeccable and she went above and beyond to make sure we had tips and recommendations for the local area. . Para negocios perfecto. Las habitaciones son muy básicas. Muy mejorable. Las zonas comunes muy agradables, el servicio del desayuno muy agradable, para cenar en la terraza con música de tapas muy bien, la zona repleta de Buenos restaurantes. Zona muy segura y vigilada

I had one incident in the restaurant/bar one night during my stay which made me feel very uncomfortable and not want to stay in anymore. So i went out the rest of the week after that for dinner. This was not to the fault of the hotel or restaurant however. Aside from that, this hotel was great. It was clean, nice and modern rooms and lobby, breakfast had all the choices you can think of, and the staff was very nice. I really enjoyed this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I'm down in Escazú.
