Me and my wife had the getaway at this resort last Oct 16 for 1 week . So far this was one of the best in terms of request support, beach, pool and food. Thanks to Rodrigo of reservation , who accommodated our room request. Shout out to Karla our concierge who made every effort to meet our request. Lastly, thank you to all the hardworking staff for their services. We will definitely be back!

Muchas gracias a todo el Staff Royal Hideaway por dejarnos vivir una experiencia increíble desde su trato hasta sus hermosas instalaciones, pero sobre todo la hermosa playa que tienen. Creo que faltaron más eventos nocturnos, pero entendemos la situación. Los alimentos estuvieron deliciosos.

O resort foi incrível, vilas separadas e belos quartos. Nós estávamos lá de manhã de segunda a sexta-feira e realmente não tivemos problemas. Piscinas foram excelentes, piscina infinita foi incrível sobre como gostar da bela frente para o mar.Minha esposa e eu não fizemos quaisquer excursões ou pequenas viagens, sentamos ao lado da piscina e apreciamos o oceano. Quando voltarmos, definitivamente exploraremos as atividades durante o dia.O serviço foi incrível, a equipe foi ótima e fez de tudo para garantir que sua estadia foi uma classificação de 5 estrelas.Outros comentários mencionaram que o resort morre às 21h, eles não estão brincando, as piscinas estão fechadas e a área do bar fecha às 22h, não deixando muito o que fazer. Então, a peça da vida noturna pela qual você precisa ir.Sugestão de casal,Reserve todos os seus jantares na primeira noite, as reservas são rápidas e você não poderá desfrutar de toda a comida excelente que eles oferecem.O código de vestimenta é importante, certifique-se de usar calças se for homem, eles não o deixarão entrar se você não estiver usando o código de vestimenta.Você precisa acordar cedo para conseguir um bom assento ou dois ao lado da piscina, os assentos se enchem rapidamente e ninguém os dá durante o dia, vá buscar toalhas, pegue um livro e alguns pertences e coloque-os em seus assentos, se Não, você ficará na área de areia o dia todo longe de comida e bebidas.Grito enorme para o Francisco, atendente do restaurante Spices, ele foi ótimo, muito atencioso e de grande personalidade.

Excelente estadía, muy buena calidad de servicio. Restaurantes temáticos de primer nivel, Palazzo muy bueno, pero el mejor, restaurante “Ventanas”, cocina de alto nivel a cargo del chef Kike, y el servicio personalizadode Rosita,nuestro anfitrión Nicolas y del gerente de “Ventanas”Israel. The resort was awesome, separate villas and beautiful rooms. We were there from Monday-Friday morning and really had no issues. Pools were great, infinity pool was amazing over liking the beautiful ocean front. My wife and i didn't do any excursions or small trips, we sat pool side and enjoyed the ocean. When we go back we will definitely explore activities during the day. Service was amazing, the staff was great and did everything to make sure your stay was a 5 star rating. Other reviews mentioned that the resort dies down at 9pm, they ain't kidding, pools are closed and the bar area is closed by 10pm leaving not much to do. So, the nightlife piece you'll need to go else for. Couple suggestion, Book all your dinners the first night, reservations go quick and you will not be able to enjoy all the great food they have. Dress code is important, make sure you have pants if your are a man, they will not let you in if you are not in dress code. You need to wake up early in the am to get a good seat or two at pool side, seats fill quickly and no one gives them for the day, go get towels, grab a book and some belongings and put them on your seats, if not you'll be in the sand area all day far way from food and drinks. Huge shout out to Francisco, server at the Spices restaurant, he was great, very attentive and great personality.

Me and my gf went here for a vacation and absolutely loved it! The layout of the hotel is great, where you have these little villas instead of the typical hotel rooms side by side. We had some issues with our tub and toilet on the first night but the staff was great and moved our room to a new one within a few hours. They have multiple restaurants on site that range from good to mediocre. Nothing wildly amazing though. The best we've had so far is the breakfast buffet in the morning. The place is very clean and the staff will make you feel like a king and queen! I will be returning here everytime I come to Mexico and would highly recommend you do too!

Beautiful grounds and gorgeous beach. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Service, food and drinkswere good. If you're looking for nightlife, you'll be disappointed - the place is pretty much dead by 9pm but you can get to 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen fairly easy. Limited waterfront activities.Overall good value for the price

What a wonderful experience. From the moment i arrived they treated me like royalty. The resort is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are very clean. The food is very good. I wish they had at least one area open to eat all the time in case you didn't want to do fine dining one night. Entertainment was good but more interaction with the guess would have been great. The theater was close because of Covit but if Disney and Universal can do it with actors wearing a mask i dont see why they cant. Service was really pleasant. This is a very good hotel and i had a wonderful experience. I want to say thank you to the pool concierge and Animation, Emily, Mercedes, Fernando, Miriam y Gerardo. You guys were great. A few things didn't work out but they are minor things. Overall i highly recommend it.

Hotel espectacular. Situación increíble, recinto perfecto. Hotel muy familiar. El servicio lo mejor, desde los botones, recepción, meseros (Oscar y muchos más), limpiadores, animadores (Mercedes, Angel y Jerry). Todos pendientes de que tu estancia sea lo más agradable posible. Pasamos el huracán Grace allí y casi bi se noto en el mobiliario, todos estuvieron trabajando para solucionar todos los destrozos lo antes posible. La comida de todos los restaurantes exquisita, nunca te aburres, todos los días cosas diferentes. Repetiría una y 100 veces. A mejorar el wifi del hotel.

Love, Love, Love this resort. This is my second stay and the place is beyond compare. The staff’s service is outstanding. The party fun people Mercedes, Emily, Jerry, Angel and the rest are great. In the reception, Moises, Brenda and Mario and super helpful. When it comes to food and service they are excellent. Kudos to Fernando, Enrique, and rest of the food and service team. There isn’t a better homey place to stay that at the Royal.

Before anything….ALFONSO…GENARO….LUIS….BEST OF THE BEST!!!!Alfonso kept the pool area engaged and fun but not intrusive. Genaro and Luis are exceptional service staff. They both took such great care of us with drinks, snacks and seafood. We definitely felt pampered and welcome. I can’t leave David, out concierge out!He was always available and any concerns that arose we handled promptly. He was helpful in answering any questions. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job as well.My daughter is getting married so this is our big trip. Thank you for making our trip amazing. Bless you and your families always!!!

Excellent place to just chill. No annoying kids.Taking 1 star off due to bad room service. I understand things are difficult during pandemic then why offer room service. Otherwise beautiful location. Infinity pool is the best. Food, drinks, customer service…excellent. I was kind of Leary due to some recently posted bad reviews but I am glad I stayed here. All the personnel were very friendly and helpful. All the restaurants’ food was simply amazing. One of the best adult resort I’ve stayed so far. BTW, don’t know the role of concierge in our room building lobby but she never once checked on us.

The location is about 50 minutes from the airport.It's an adults-only, quiet, and relaxing resort. The rooms are small, a bit outdated but good, and very clean.The shower has no hot water, just warm water.The staff is very helpful and cordial.The resort has a few restaurants but difficult to get a reservation for 7:00 to 8:30 pm, I guess it's due to Covid.Our dinner reservations were either at 6:30 or 9:00.The food is OK at its best, but the service is great.The location is only 15 minutes from downtown. The exchange rate at the resort is about 15% worse than the outside.And the resort has no pool bar.Overall, it is a good resort for the price.

We recently spent two weeks at Royal Hideaway. Absolutely beautiful resort! The staff was amazing! A special shout-out to Fernanda, Mercedes and Emily for keeping us entertained poolside. Fernanda especially for checking in with me every day while my husband was diving. She showed a genuine concern and interest in what we were experiencing. And for the personal one-on-one Spanish lesson! Also Antonio for keeping the cool refreshing drinks flowing poolside. Even during hurricane Grace, the staff went up and beyond to make sure we all had a great time and took great care of everyone. I would highly recommend this resort. We will definitely be back. Looking forward to seeing all of the staff soon!

Muy buena la comida, un ambiente para relajarse, Playa del Carmen es muy hermoso. Muchas gracias a todo el staff, a Lidia, a Ilse, los servicios en los restaurantes y a todo el grupo de animación, sobre todo a Emily por ser tan amigables y ayudarnos a divertirnos entre toda la relajación.

El restaurante estaba muy limpio y el servicio fue excelente! Igual la comida estaba muy rica y de alta calidad. Nicolas nos atendió y era muy atento para servirnos!

Very relaxing stay at a beautiful resort with incredible service. The infinity pool over looking the beach is only part of the reason we will be coming back. Alfonso, Marianna, and Mercedes were amazing and made our stay better each day! Alfonso did a wonderful job on the bike tour and was very knowledgeable regarding Mayan history. Marianna was so kind and accommodating from the moment we step onto the property and as we left. Mercedes checked in on us daily to make sure we were having a great time and suggested fun activities to try, not to mention she remembers everyone’s name. We will be coming back in the future!

We’ve just had an amazing 2 weeks here. An all round lovely hotel, great service, amazing food and fabulous staff. There great excursions for the guests, the hotel arranged something every day for the guests. I did a brilliant art class mid week and a bike ride with Mercedes into Playa del Carmen as well. We stopped off at some ruins on the way into town, she was very knowledgable. A very helpful and friendly person. A thoroughly relaxing stay in a most beautiful hotel.

It was so quiet and peaceful. We were fully entertained by Carlos and Alfonso!! The servers by the pool (Genaro and Daniel) were beyond attentive!! Mercedes was delightful. Everyone was so kind and interested in helping you whenever they could. "My pleasure" is how they react to everything. The place is beautifully maintained.....SO CLEAN everywhere. Highly recommend!!

Resort maravilhoso, o melhor que ja fiquei na vida. É muito raro encontrar um resort all inclusive que a comida seja boa, e nesse realmente ela é fantástica. As bebidas também são de qualidade maravilhosa: tanqueray, beefeater, absolut etc. O serviço impecável, com todos os funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Quarto ótimo, banheiro enorme e super confortável. Bar animado e uma atração diferente todos os dias. Praia ótima, com mar lindo e muito calmo, e a infraestrutura do hotel também é ótima na praia. Voltarei com certeza! Indico muito. Parabéns pelo resort.
