Overall, a great experience. Like a few of the other reviews mentioned there were some minor hiccups. If you ask the front desk for anything it takes an hour + for it to be brought to your room. We had one incident where a Spanish speaking couple were sat before us at Beloved when we were waiting first. They had wrote names and room numbers down and the “manager” of this restaurant just bypassed us for this European couple. This was mentioned in multiple reviews and was still surprised when it happened to us. I think the room could have been cleaned better as there were stains on the wall and the corners of the floors were grimey. Food was great and majority of the staff very pleasant and eager to make your stay great.

Vacationing at the Catalonia Costa Mujeres was a pleasure. We were 5 girls in a family room which was spacious enough for us all. The hotel is new and modern, well up-kept and super clean. The staff is incredible and funny and mindful of COVID, as they ensure to clean up frequently and wear their masks. Since the hotel is new there are some things that need to be tweaked: there are a lot of restaurants and possibilities for food during the day (2 food trucks with hot dogs and tacos, crêperie, mexican, Peruvian, Italian, Asian, burgers etc) but at night these restaurants seem to narrow down to only 3 + buffet which makes it hard to accommodate everyone. Since there is no formal reservation system except for the Japanese restaurant, the wait times are insane. We recommend purchasing a privilege package to solve this issue. We specifically loved eating at the BLoved restaurant. It has an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and supper and the staff is exceptional. Enrique the manager and Consuelo the hostess always remembered usand our allergies and Francisco and Arlette provided impeccable service. We also enjoyed Ayami with the exceptional service of Arturo and Charly. The customer experience manager Vielka was also very understanding when we had some issues with the restaurants. Finally the hydrotherapy at the Spa is a must!Overall the Catalonia has everything for a great experience. The beach is pure white and the water mostly algae free. We would go back again that is for sure.

Nice facility. The only things you should consider is their trick to selling their membership by inviting you for a free breakfast and spa and then interrogating you without any advance notice. It’s better the management put these stuff online so anyone can see instead pushing people to an unwanted representation.Other than that everything is perfect. Food, staff friendly, cleanliness.

Fue muy buena la estadía en el hotel, la comida es deliciosa, las bebidas deliciosas, la habitaciones muy lindas, el hotel en general es muy lindo y agradable, el show de la noche es muy divertido y buenos bailarines, lo no tan bueno la temperatura del agua de las piscinas es demasiado fría, el servicio nos tocó esperar mucho pero son detalles, de resto todo muy bueno. My first time coming to the Catalonia resorts here in Cancun. One of the best experiences. From the staff, to the resort, the food, and the entertainment. The shows hosted in the evenings are very professional. The details into all the costumes are beyond amazing. The dancers are so talented. Had the chance to meet with one of them named Angel, and he is an absolute sweet heart. Him and his partner Jane dance beautifully together! Don’t miss out and visiting this resort and experiencing magical shows in the evenings!

We loved staying here! It was absolutely beautiful (the beach was clean and there wasn't loud music but more chill) and the prices were reasonable. We had the Superior Suite and it did not disappoint! Although without being an exclusive member, there were certain restaurants we didn't have access to. It being an all inclusive was the best and they're food options are great. My absolute favorite restaurant was Siwichi, the food there was delicious. They asked us to wear our masks when we ordered food/walked into restaurants/buffet and then once we were eating, we could remove them. The employees that stood out the most were:Saul - bartender at Grill restaurant Francisco - main lobby with luggage/transport Amairani - barista at the coffee shop AromesWe have decided to make this an annual trip and enjoy it a week at a time! The excursion we did through Amstar (an agency that has a table in the lobby) was great to work with and they booked us a full day of snorkeling in 2 locations, zip lining and driving ATVs. That was a 12 hour day but the most fun we had on the entire trip!! 10/10 would recommend this hotel & the excursions.

My friend and I were here from October 20-27 and it was a wonderful trip. The hotel and grounds were clean and well taken care. There was security at the entrance, where they checked names before allowing people in (which is an appreciated security measure). They have a lab on-site for Covid testing (rapid antigen $20US, PCR was $80US). The room was clean, well designed and comfortable (we stayed in the family suite, non-beloved package)More than anything, the staff made it an incredible experience. A few notable team members:Samuel Sosa (buffet) Santiago (margarita bar) Emmanuel (margarita bar) Estaban (lobby) Arturo (Japanese) Rosa (beach bar) Renato (buffet) Daniel (buffet)They just made it such a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. So much so that I felt entirely comfortable going to dinner alone when my friend enjoyed the margarita bar a bit too much ☺️ Sam brought rose petals to my table and checked in on me every 10 minutes or so.I would encourage people to use the website to see the hours of restaurants in advance so they’re not disappointed (e.g., the main strip restaurants rotate for which evenings/times they’re open - I imagine this is the result of staff shortages due to Covid).The beach was incredibly beautiful and the water was perfect. Their staff did a great job of removing washed up seaweed, so the beach and water were clear most of the time. Even when they weren’t fully cleared, it’s a beach, so it’s all good! We had servers come to us on the beach and bring drinks, or you can go to the beach bar, which wasn’t busy and the bartenders were wonderful. Over at the pool, there were also servers who would come over and take drink orders for those who didn’t want to go into the pool for the bar.Honestly, it was a perfect vacation. I would love to go back.

Let me start by saying everybody is entitled to their opinion but a lot of these reviews are very misleading! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. This resort is BEAUTIFUL! The people that work there are very nice and helpful (special shoutout to Ricardo, he was our favorite)! The food is awesome! I will say if you are looking to be in the mix or for more of a party atmosphere this isn’t the resort for that. But if you want to relax, and maybe venture out a few times you can do an excursion or the bellhops will call a taxi for you! I am glad we found this resort. We will definitely be back!

Amazing holiday! The staff were great, yummy food and drinks. Rosa and Leonardo kept us topped up with drinks to our swim up room which was so good! Enrique was another great staff member who always looked after us! Food was delicious plenty of options for adults and kids. The pools were lovely. Options for lively or quiet depending on what type of trip you’re after. Everything you could ask for we had!

La calidad de su comida está excelente, pero sus frutas y ensaladas están refrigeradas lo cual demerita su calidad, el cuarto que nos tocó se salía el agua de la regadera, éramos 4 personas y solamente nos dieron una cama King size y sofacama y creo que no es lo correcto, prefiriria dos camas matrimoniales,, el concepto abierto que manejan no permite tener privacidad, desde que llegué me dió la impresión de que son muy elitistas y lo comprobé en la crepería al negarme el servicio por no portar cubrebocas, pero si se lo brindaron a una extranjera que tampoco lo llevaba, lo cual género un disgusto en mi persona y obviamente un reclamo, el hotel es muy tecnológico y moderno, pero nadia te brinda información de esta tecnología, por ejemplo, en el restaurant tienes queordenar por medio del celular y nadie nos oriento de cómo hacerlo por lo que perdimos tiempo investigando, nadie nos informo de las actividades a realizarse y de hecho el que pongan noche de karaoke se me hizo una tontería, ya que no hay actividades nocturnas que valgan la pena, así mismo dan por sentado que conoces la infraestructura, ya que nada más te mencionan las actividades pero para encontrarlas es muy difícil, espero pongan atención a estas situaciones

This was the BEST resort for a Mexican getaway. I spent a week there with my sisters, and after travelling to many other places in the South we enjoyed Catalonia Costa Mujeres the most. The service was impeccable, 10/10! We got reservations almost instantly and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, they always greeted us with a smile. They paid great attention to detail seating us at our favourite table at the buffet each morning and evening and also provided us with our favourite drinks without us even asking! The beach was superb and the rooms were also cleaned each day. We have no complaints and plan on coming back soon!

El hotel esta ubicado en una zona increíble con excelente vista al mar, queda a deber mucho el servicio hacia los mexicanos, toda la atención y servicio se la dan a los extranjeros que además les dejan muy poca propina, tuve que ir a buscar mi habitación y tardaron más de una hora en llevar mi equipaje.La comida es buena y los tragos más o menos. No tienen sombrillas en la playa!! Tienes que buscar tu palmera y las mejores palmeras son para los viajeros frecuentes.Les recomiendo ver otras opciones en la zona.

Hotel incrivelmente lindo, limpo, refeição excelente, design maravilhoso! Melhor experiência que já tive com hotéis! Recomendo de olhos fechados. A experiência gastronômica com certeza é um diferencial! Os atendentes são super simpáticos, sempre dando bom dia quando passamos! Perfeito, não há do que reclamar! Sobre a localização, o hotel se encontra longe da zona hoteleira. É um lugar para se ficar e sair poucas vezes para fazer alguns passeios.

Las peores vacaciones!!! Es lamentable hacer un esfuerzo para descansar y haber caído en este lugar. Mala actitud del 90% del personal, sin ganas de trabajar. Me la pasé haciendo corajes por la gente tannefasta, lo único bonito es el hotel como tal pero de verdad todo todo mal. Habiendo tantas opciones en Cancún DESCARTAR ESTA OPCIÓN POR COMPLETO. Esa es mi sugerencia.

Encantada con el hotel, súper hermoso 😍 Una arquitectura impresionante. La comida es SÚPER DELICIOSA! Las habitaciones amplias, hermosas y muy cómodas. Un hotel con mucho espacio, tiene muchos espacios para pasar el rato. El personal muy amable en especial: Ali Ucan de recepción, así como Narciso y Orlando. Leonardo del bar de la playa. En el Buffet de la cena del restauranteCaribe a Samuely Arleth. Lo súper recomiendo! 🙌

Resort moderno, bem dividido, quartos perfeitos(grandes, aconchegantes, tecnológicos), diversidade na alimentação, serviço muito bom. Digno de 5 estrelas. O custo do resort é muito baixo em relação aos da mesma faixa em Cancun. Voltarei com certeza.

We had a very nice time at hotel! My daughter loved playing in the kids club. I would recommend buying inflatables before because 1. There very expensive at the shop, 2. If you stay for more than two days it can get very dull in the swimming pool if you have no friends. So I would say that 4 days is about good because otherwise you could get pretty fat. My daughter and partner went crazy for the ice cream bar with four flavours( coconut, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla) and 3 types of sprinkles ( chocolate, rainbow and coconut powder) and a chocolate fountain. I will definitely come back here and recommend for people with kids. I give a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars.

Sadly, we booked for Feb.9th and had to be rescheduled to another hotel as Catalonia was delayed again. Can't comment on the stay, as we obviously weren't able to visit but be weary booking in the next little while as there are constant delays. We're disappointed as we were looking forward to it.
