This hotel was by no means bad. Some of the food in the main building was decent and some of the staff were friendly. The evening shows were great and although the beach right in front of the hotel sucked, a ten minute walk on the beach will get you to a very calm bay. My room was clean and bed comfortable, for a tip the room service will make you a towel animal. The walls of the hotel contain no sound, so that I could hear everything going on in the hallway and neighboring rooms. For no additional charge you can go kayaking across the road from the hotel. There is also a tennis court and a mini golf course. Some of the food presented was absolutely delicious, but I got food poisoning the last day I was there, so be careful with what you eat. Overall, Royal Solaris is a decent hotel with plenty of things to do, decent food, and plenty of places to rest.P.S.If you choose to stay here and want a quieter place to rest I recommend going to the leftmost point of the hotel, near the hot tub.

It was a decent resort in the area. I have been to a much better one in Cancun. The reason i gave only three stars is due to the fact their customer service. The staff is not well trained to treat customer right. We purchased King bed due to my 1 year old, and they gave us twin bed room and they said they don't have any king available. How the heck they take reservation without a particular room availability? I asked if they can do anything and they said nothing can be done. I went with group of 12 people and we are all vegetarians, it was a hell of a time getting some decent food. Only Bagavante restaurant in next door resort had a decent choice for folks like us. There were couple of individuals screaming at staff that their money was stole which scared us a little, not sure if it was true or not though but be careful!

For reserving through a sketchy third-party website, I was surprised at how easy it was to communicate with staff and check in at Royal Solaris for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, our room smelled musty and we could hear our neighbors and everything going on in the hallway. Our balcony jacuzzi was cool though. I definitely recommend going out of your way and meeting staff and other guests, and get involved in what's going on around the resort. We loved our servers/bartenders and enjoyed meeting so many people (that became our friends) playing volleyball in the pool!

Most the staff was amazing. However, no variety for food with long lines and little flavor. Rooms were musty from moisture. Drinks were nice. Non motorized water sports were never available for the 10 days I visited (do to current - but is was ONLY kayaking anyways). Tennis court was okay but they ran out of balls the last 3 days of the visit. Overall a disappointment for me and my family. I've never given such a negative review. I feel badly doing so but I would not stay again or recommend.

While my friends and I had a lot of fun at the pool and listening to their live music in the lobby, overall this is not a great hotel. The walls are paper thin and the floors are not carpeted so you can hear EVERYTHING in the halls and the rooms around you. We were woken up everyday at 6 am due to screaming children and loud parents in the room next door. The only good thing on any of the restaurants’ menu are their soups. Everything else was dry and or lacking in flavor. The drinks at their bars are also really disappointing. Every cocktail I ordered tasted like flavored syrup. Everything closed at 11 pm so no late night drinking with friends unless you bring your own alcohol. Room service takes over an hour each time. Our room did not have a do not disturb sign and we asked 5 separate times for one to no avail. The staff is not very accommodating and has convoluted protocols for certain things. For example, you can only make reservations at their restaurants for the next 48 hours and you have to stand in a long line in the lobby for about 40 minutes and it can only be between 9:30 and 3 pm. So for our long stay, we had to make this line 3 times so that we wouldn’t have to keep eating at their buffet where food is stale and simply does not taste good. They have activities at the pool which are entertaining at times but very loud so if you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation this is not the place.

We just had an incredible 5 days here, and the staff really made it the best experience I could imagine. Edgar at the front desk, beach service by Pablo, breakfast with Hector's secret bacon and great sense of humor, and who could forget the fantastic Joseph at Rosmarinus...plus the housekeeping staff who kept our room and the entire resort spotless... Everyone was so helpful and friendly! We loved the food, both at the buffet and the restaurants, and the pool activities kept my niece and nephew busy the whole time. I would love to go back because this was probably one of the best experiences I've had in Cancun.

Great service, very attentive! But very limited options. They state there are 10 different restaurants but really there's only 4-5 and out of those 2 are members only. We enjoyed our vacation but we wouldn't go back. I understand covid but restrictions on certain things but that information should have been put on the website indicating changes.

This hotel is incredible everyday they have something different plan to entertain their guests. Restaurant are super good with the all inclusive you don’t need to go out to find what to eat. Open bar at the inside and by the pool. They also have appetizers (hotdogs, hamburgers, wings, pizza etc… available at the pool side. It’s a very convenient hotel couldn’t ask for more! Our hotel room was with the lagoon view and we loved it! Also the beach is super clean and maintained

Poor rooms with horrible view. When we booked two ocean view rooms and we get a bay view. That looks poor and all you can hear/see on the balcony is the old rusty ac units. Haven’t been here 3 hours and I wanna check out and leave. Ocean view is for members only.

So this hotel's covid protocol was top notch. Hotel was clean, very very friendly staff. Room was excellent. It's on the smaller side compared to other hotels but that's what made it great. The intimacy of a smaller hotel is always good unlike the larger chains. Restaurants were good. Had the best massage of my life. I traveled with two other couples so 6 in total and we all can't stop talking about the place.

Honestly do not get your hopes up if you are not a timeshare owner at this resort. Their service performance and attitude is all dependent if you have the timeshare/owner wrist band. (Yellow/Gold). A regular guest will get minimal service. Also, if you don’t participate in the timeshare tour they will not provide you any material to what restaurants have a dress code, reservations, amenities, map of location. The craziest part is you have to go to other restaurants to get a reservation for a different one. Please strongly consider before booking. As a timeshare holder you will get the 5 star quality but if you are not 2-3 stars. May get a good day and the a bad one the following.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out those door there is not a single negative comment to make about this resort. The staffs are EXCEPTIONAL, the services are EXQUISITE and the feeling of relaxation is beyond imaginable. Everyone is welcoming and you genuinely feel that they care about your stay and your satisfaction. I couldn't have choose a better resort than this. For such little amount they work so hard and are so dedicated to their jobs. The foods are amazing and you have a great amount of options to choose from. The cooks,servers,housekeeping and everyone in a whole is beyond amazing. They are so grateful for any tip and continues to show you the best of the resort. Excursions are an amazing way to add on to your vacation. All I can say is visit this amazing location and you won't regret it. I miss the vibe,the sunset,the sound of the waves, that amazing oven pizza and many more. For my husband, this was his second trip there and it's amazing as ever. The drinks were superb and we were well taken care of. To the staffs of Royal Solaris Cancun, thank you for your amazing amazing hospitality. Can't wait to visit again and experience the wonders of this resort again.

Pros: Hotel was clean....everywhere. The staff were nice and helpful with any request. The pool was clean and perfect temperature. The MARCO POLO restaurant was fantastic. Cons: We attempted to order Room Service but was met with a voicemail message. The in room mini bar had no snacks only drinks, The lifeguard for the beach area was not informative with his directions when he blew his whistle so i had no idea what if anything i was doing "wrong". Some sound deadening material could be used for the hallways. Doors slam and it is loud since its all tile. The buffet food was basic and mediocre at best. no highlights from the buffet.

It's not the newest property in the hotel zone for certain, but you're also not paying that price to stay here. It's a good property with the right amenities to enjoy a getaway right on the beach. Good service, good service. This was my second time going back to this property. If the value in price remains, I would consider staying there again. Only 4 stars simply because it's an older property, but no complaints at all. Very friendly staff. One service this property offered for no additional charge was my wife and I arrived at 6am on the red eye, they couldn't get us into a room, but they gave us full access to the property and restaurants etc. We changed into beach/summer clothes, gave them our luggage, had breakfast, we were tired, so we went out to the beach and feel asleep for 2-3 hours on the lounge chairs. They were able to get us checked into a room by about 11am - no extra charge or fuss (I think they called it "complimentary early access" or something - no guarantee of getting into your room early, but full access to the rest of the property - very nice and easy for them to do. Some properties charge extra for this.)

Royal Solaris is like our home away from home. The staff are s always accommodating. David, our concierge, takes care of our dinner reservation. Ignacio, server captain, always make sure our meals and tables are well taken care of. Julio, Luis, Carlos, Ricky, our servers from different restaurants in the resorts took care of us with politeness. They treat us well and made sure our expectations are met.

Went for our honeymoon. Everything was just perfect. Very friendly staff . At bogavante Julio Ceasar made sure we had a great experience, surprised us with a delicious plate of tacos and inside the hotel bar Javier Was ready with the next drink in hand before we even thought of asking for another. We became members & already cant wait to go back.

The beach behind this resort has great white sand and crystal clear waters. Not all of the restaurants were open as of September 2020, but room service was 24/7 and there were about 4 other restaurants to choose from. The only, and I do mean only, downside was that the walls were a little thin and you could hear neighbors clearly at times. All in all I would highly recommend!

This was a fantastic all inclusive resort! We had an ocean view room and a large balcony which was lovely and made for some perfect vacation views. The pools were awesome and so much fun. We especially loved the pizza and sushi bars that offer poolside service. Most of the other restaurants on the resort had delicious food although portions were somewhat small. My family and I were visiting for a wedding and hotel did a lovely job helping our bride prepare and set up for her special day. Our trip and experience we had at the resort was truly unforgettable.
